About us

The Operations Department at Nyköping Hospital operates in new state-of-the-art facilities that promote a good working environment and enable efficient patient flows. The department is centrally located within the hospital and in close proximity to the ICU/CCU and the upcoming day surgery department. Annually, approximately 5000 surgeries are performed within surgery/urology, orthopedics, gynecology/obstetrics, and ear-nose-throat (ENT), of which one-third are emergency surgeries.

In our operational development, we place great emphasis on creating efficient patient flows where leadership and teamwork are central components. We strive to work process-oriented, smart, develop our skills, and also have fun!

All employees have individual schedules. Day, evening, and night shifts as well as individual holiday schedules.

Your responsibilities

As an anesthetic nurse, you will work in a team within perioperative care. In your role, you will be responsible for your anesthetic tasks in teamwork with other colleagues from different professions. Together, we perform emergency and planned surgeries, around the clock. Your responsibilities also include trauma management according to ATLS, anesthetic assistance during emergency alarms and certain radiological activities - MRI, CT scans. Central access and sedation during ECT treatments are also included in your tasks.

Your qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with specialized training in anesthetic nursing. As a person, you are service-oriented and have good collaboration skills. You take initiative and responsibility for your own tasks as well as for the whole. Flexibility and loyalty are your strengths as the work of an anesthetic nurse is based on teamwork. You possess maturity both personally and professionally, and preferably have several years of experience. We place great importance on personal qualities.
